The Elite Sports Scholarship Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region is a non-profit institution that has been financed through donations since its foundation in 2009 (as the Mannheim Sports Scholarship).
Supporting student athletes in their dual careers is our primary goal. Due to the time and effort they spend training and competing, they find it particularly difficult to complete a degree. But they are precisely who, thanks to their experience in sports, are also capable of top performance in academic professions.

Our sponsors, the Greinert family of entrepreneurs, the Dietmar Hopp Foundation and the Dieter Schwarz Foundation, form the basis of our unique program. The Social Fund and our sports partner Pfitzenmeier have added further exclusive support options for our athletes in recent years.
We would be pleased to receive further offers that can support our athletes in their balancing act between studies and elite sport.
